Welcome to my blog! I’m Marthin, an avid amateur photographer and coffee drinker, living in Oslo, Norway. This site is dedicated to sharing with you some of my shots. First time I wrote this, I said I was keen on many genres of photography. Well, I am … But, frankly, one particular form is increasingly growing on me. Each and every day. And to that extent that it has taken over most of my time available to photography. I’m telling more about it here.
Probably, you’ll find most of my photos being a little bit on the darker side. I hope however, my shots will catch the attention of many of you (and I promise, it will not be all black and white).
I’ve chosen to write my posts in English. Please feel free to comment in English, as well as any Scandinavian language (I’ve even should manage German and a little bit Italian … ). Criticism is the best way to improve, so I appreciate every comment, both positive and negative, but please be polite.
At last, a word about privacy. Especially when taking streets photos, asking for permission in advance, could be the best way to ruin the shot. So I seldom do it. I will, however, as far as is practically possible, ask for permission afterwards. For me, the person really isn’t the motive in the viewfinder, it is solely the story the person is telling that matters. But, of course, I respect other opinions, and if anyone should find a picture of themselves on my site and dislike what they see, please contact me and I will remove it at once.
