Faces can be intriguing, especially peoples expressions. And of course, the eyes are crucial. One afternoon, taking the underground home, I sat on the folding seat opposite this guy. Browsing the carriage, I became aware of the solemn expression on his face.
So I placed the camera in my lap, removed the lens cap, and without looking through the viewfinder, went for a single shot. I’ve done this before, and for the most I ended up with something utterly rubbish. This time, however, I think I might have caught the moment.
