Photography is about “drawing with light”. And don´t you think this enigmatic kind of illumination illustrates the point well?
I took this last autumn. I had been out for a couple of hours seeking interesting motives. Not really finding them, I was heading for the underground station, when I passed a football pitch. Noticing the scene put, or rather drawn, up by the falling light, I nevertheless got what I was looking for.
But I must admit it took me some time to nail it. Interesting enough, using aperture priority mode didn’t work out, even with a vast variety of ISO settings. So, I switched to full manual settings, using f/6,8, 1/60 sec, and ISO 2500. And after a little brushing up in Lightroom this was the result.
And if anyone is technically interested, I´m using a 50mm prime lens here.
