Upon visiting Paris, I’ve often wandered the banks of the Seine (only in daytime, of course, I don’t think it’s advisable to stroll these river beds at night…). But the Seine is an important recreational area, and a place where it´s possible to retreat in silence from the bustling city. This gentleman, I presume, preferred to be left alone in the sun (although I obviously caught him in a mobile phone conversation).
Keep hold of her, mate!
A couple of weeks ago we went to Paris, one of my favourite cities. One afternoon, we were heading for the “Maison Européenne de la Photographie”, i.e. “The European House of Photography” (of course!) to have a look at an exhibition. Our hotel was close to the Sorbonne University, on “La Rive Gauche” (“The Left Bank”), so we had to cross the river to get there.
And on the bank of the mighty Seine, this newly married couple was out on their photo shoot. One of the most popular poses seemed to be like this, him tossing her around, trying out different positions. A risky business, I think, as the Seine is cold, and the currents are strong… Fortunately we didn´t hear a splash!
