There is always a bird. Out there. Waiting. Patiently. For you.
Fox on the Run
Isn´t it strange how a visual impact could jog the memory? Guess what happened when I came across this blue fella´as I was out walking today?
Emerging
I’ve often read about street photographers discovering an interesting object sneaking itself into the frame, but never to any extent worth noticing experienced it myself.
Having initially framed this couple as they were busy taking their selfie, I patched the raw file onto the computer, but couldn’t actually find a crop that pleased me. But before giving up, I decided to keep on narrowing it down, getting rid of as much as possible.
And suddenly she appeared. The lady in the background, whom I hadn’t noticed at all. Doesn’t she make the whole picture? I think she does.
So cropping can be … well interesting after all, to say it least.
Watching You
I love playing with commercials, seeking out juxtapositions between people and the commercial itself.
This shot was captured just a few weeks ago. We´re in central Oslo, at the area of Vika, originally not one of my city’s finest districts, if you get my drift … Now not much (nothing really!) is reminiscent of the old times. Today shops, chic cafés, and some of the more expensive law firms compete for the available spots. Thereby follows fancy commercials as well. And not at least a lot of well-dressed ladies and gentlemen, just like the one in the picture.
Waiting
I love underground stations. It’s something to do with the atmosphere, people on their way in all directions, the smell and the noises, and not at least the light.
After lurching around downtown the other day, just finding semi-interesting situations to shoot, I gave up and headed for the Underground determined to call it a day. And on the bench beside the opposite track this scenario caught my eyes. Hope you, as I, enjoy the light setting.
By the way, my sincere apologies for not having posted lately. I shall not be dwelling on the reasons behind this, but I’m aiming to increase the frequency of my updates in the weeks to come.
